My name is Tom Williams and I have 20+ years of experience as a professional software engineer working mostly in Java and C++ for a startup that is now owned by a blue chip engineering company.
When time allows I sometimes develop open source games and utilities for the Colour Maximite 2 retro computer.
This webpage has two simple aims:
A Z-machine interpreter allowing the classic works of interactive fiction (a.k.a. Text Adventures) by Infocom to be played on the Colour Maximite 2.

An interpreter allowing the classic works of Interactive Fiction (a.k.a. Text Adventures) by Scott Adams, Brian Howarth and others to be played on the Colour Maximite 2

Development tools for MMBasic
running on the Colour Maximite 2.

A collection of programs for The Colour Maximite 2 akin to those distributed with the original 8-bit Microcomputers.
Note: whilst I acted as curator, the content is a collaborative effort by the denizens of The Back Shed.

Peddling a theory that flies in the face of so-called "conventional science" is a hard sell. But it can be made easier with IT that allows you to understand and find your target market so that you can format your product with the necessary level of scientific illiteracy and sheer idiocy so that it will find its audience.
Tom Williams' years of experience in business have given him an ear for human irrationality and inconsistency, which are so often the key to success and his help to us has been of enormous value in our campaign to spread the truth of the Flat Earth Theory around the globe.
In many ways the Undead are the last minority: victims of a centuries-long prejudice against those of us who feast on the living. I mean, who - apart from the pensions industry, obvs - can object to conferring immortality on others? For such a small group as ours, good networking is essential in order to maximise our effectiveness, and IT has been a game-changer. Unlike our Romanian founder, these days no one is going to turn up in a shipwreck at Whitby. I mean: Whitby? It doesn't even have a train service to Scarborough, as a quick online check would discover. So, it is with gratitude that the VLF recommends Tom Williams for his ability to generate innovative IT solutions even to the most obscure problems. For further information, you are invited to attend one of our evening conferences. Please come alone.
Being a dictator is basically a daily grind of paranoia and long hours. Effective IT is one way of managing the stress, and it is a bonus when it is delivered with wit and style. Which is exactly what Tom Williams does. Even Enemies of the Proletariat have been known to accept their fate with a smile at an appropriate quip about the human condition and the knowledge that news of their demise will be disseminated through efficient algorithms. I can truly say that Tom has helped me restore a balance to life, so that I can now manage both hip-hop and firing squads.
